Political Youth And Expression of Free Mind

Throughout my ludicrously insane teenage years I have never once comprehended the rules and regulations that were forced upon me. I, as the majority of young people today, have encountered many restrictions, unfair decisions, and destructive policies, which are only placed on us by the government because we are the youth. These government officials, or overpaid senile men, should not be allowed to ignore our own, individual needs simply because we don’t meet the government age requirement of being an adult. I strongly believe that we as a free society should come together for the future and eliminate these burdens which are placed upon us. We do not deserve to be dehumanized any longer because of a simple factor as our age.

I have always believed that regardless of our age we should be treated equally and we should not be thrown into any category or generalization. There may be many of us teenagers that are not aware of political aspects, but it is only because our government shelters us from what we truly deserve, our freedom. The only way we can accomplish this is through activism and nonconformity, so we can alter people’s negative views about our youth.

Prior to this year I despised the entire political process because I felt it was so corrupt and unfair. I abhorred the idea that we, the youth, are supposed to be the future, yet we have so many restrictions placed on us that this concept is impossible. It wasn’t until I heard many members of different political parties speak that I discovered there was a party out there who supported teenage views.

Libertarian Party

From this point on I became very interested in the Libertarian Party because, unlike the other parties, they offered freedom, liberty, equality, and individual choices. I, as the Libertarian Party, believe that freedom is indivisible and as long as we do not interfere with others freedom, we should be allowed to do what we want with our own bodies, regardless of age. All of my political and moral beliefs were incorporated in the Libertarian Party, so I joined their world.

After experiencing much Libertarian activity I have become so passionate about transforming the world into a truly free society. I believe that as the youth of today I can bring about a tolerant society, which will return to us our liberty. The government should no longer act as our parents, but they should serve and protect us. They should not protect us from ourselves.

As a teenager myself, I know we need to practice our unique beliefs that could improve our world; we just need to get the government to give us a chance. We need to start voicing our opinions, so we can crush the restrictions that are placed on us. If we have a little perseverance to compete with these government standards we can apply our visions and impact the world greatly!
