Helping creativity grow – Kickstarter #Weloveyou
For those who haven’t had the time to browse on the web, you’ve been missing out! A crowd funding company opened their doors and helped people share their ideas and creativity online. This basically exposed them to the public (who seems to have a lot of cash in their pockets) and love backing up the project creators.
What is Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is a new way to fund creative projects.
We believe that:
• A good idea, communicated well, can spread fast and wide.
• A large group of people can be a tremendous source of money and encouragement.
Kickstarter is powered by a unique all-or-nothing funding method where projects must be fully-funded or no money changes hands.
That’s straight out of the horses mouth…developers mouth? Anyway, we believe this is a great opportunity for photographers, graphic designers, writers and artists to get some funding for their creative ideas and plans. It’s always inspiring to know that people believe in your project and want to help out.
And that’s why we LOVE kickstarter…yeah we’re not afraid to show it. We LOVE (see there we go again!) it when people help others be it creatively or just in a worthy cause. People with great ideas are sometimes limited with their creativity because funding is sparse. This really opens up some doors and we personally want to let Kickstarter know that we love the concept, we love the energy and when you open a headquarters in South Africa we’ll definitely send in our CV’s.

Regretsy’s Big Book of Fabricated Folktales from Finland
A Fiction project in Helsinki, Finland by april winchell
What if we wrote a book of fabricated Finnish folktales, hired some of your favorite Regretsy artists to illustrate it, and sold it in both e-book versions and a limited edition hard copy? Wouldn’t that be a fabulous addition to your burgeoning library of Finnish literature? We think so! In fact, next to that dog-eared copy of Karpin Keittokirja, it’ll be the most valuable book in your collection!

The goal of the, uh, goal is to create the ultimate celebration of all things pug, both online and in printed form. Aside from being ridiculously cute, these weird little dogs have the amazing ability to turn ordinary people into complete freaks… and that’s definitely something worth celebrating.
